Mr. Rogers

These days, it's almost impossible to say that TV is a positive influence in children's lives, but one person who did make a difference was Mr. Rogers.  People made fun of him and his show, but I remember watching as a little girl, and no matter what was happening in my life, he always made me feel safe and good about myself.  Here's a video of Fred Rogers receiving a lifetime achievement Emmy award.  His acceptance speech is wonderful.

Encouragement

Your identity is not equivalent to your biography. There is a place in you where you have never been wounded, where there's a seamlessness in you, and where there is a confidence and tranquility.
